I contacted USA Wrestling and asked where to go for the most legit high school rankings, and was told the top two sites  are:

1. The Open Mat- feed://news.theopenmat.com/category/high-school-wrestling/hs-individual-rankings/feed/

These rankings are from January 25th and are not according to each grade.  It's an overall ranking.

2. Intermat- You have to be a member to view theirs, but when I last checked (recently), we didn't have anyone in the top 20 on there.

We have some wrestlers that definitely deserve to be on there, but then again, I'm bias! LOL  I'm sure there are other magazines and sites that put out rankings, however I was told these two sites are credible and continually update throughout the season.  I believe Cassidy WAS ranked at the beginning of the year, but is no longer ranked.

Still hoping to hear some word on the budget issue from HUAWA, don't want to get too offtrack!

There are no current legit rankings that have any of our kids ranked! Also the questions being asked of HUAWA won't be answered until the next meeting according to the mass email sent out. Me take on it is none of the questions will be answered. It's the same questions asked in a prior meeting that still have yet to be answered. This further raises questions on why questions are dodged and put off to then never be answered. Why would it take 2 more weeks to answer simple questions?

The grade specific rankings by USA Wrestling Magazine are as "legit" as any other.  It's simply a less competitive ranking because the pool being ranked per weight is smaller.

I wouldn't get to hungup on rankings. The wrestlers just need to enter the big national tournament and win it, and not just enter one a year.  Try to enter a variety of them in different parts of the nation, so you can get has many college coaches to watch if you plan to wrestle at the next level. Not all coaches are able to make every tournament. If you win any big national tournament you will get recuited, and it just doesn't have to be Fargo only. There are many outstanding tournaments out there. You just need to do some research and it's not hard to find nowadays, or just ask Oshiro or Terao they been to a few of them.

OTH I don't really grasp what you are saying on the grade specific rankings. You want the overall rankings, they have more meaning. It is nice to be ranked in your class, looking at the big picture of things there are none of our wrestlers ranked. With our talent we should constantly have a half dozen or more per year. Exposure and contacts allow our kids to get recognized in publications like the ones mentioned. We need a change, new blood, new contacts, and better overall out look as a state for our wrestlers. We currently are just satisfied with mediocracy and how things have slowly progressed the past few years. I say out with the old in with the new!

We all currently know that there is a "someone" or a group of "someone" taking a stand and trying to get some answers.  I personally feel the questions are LEGIT and  questions we have all wanted answers too.  I'm just concerned that they are going at it alone and will eventually get crushed by the Robinson Mafia like the rest.  Do not think "someone" will back down until answers are provided….stay tuned

It's a jealous Clark who wants piece of the action. Can't do it on his own so he needs to take over what someone else has created. Get a job at starbucks.

Was informed that Robinson is going to address where the money went in the next HUAWA meeting in the middle of this month.  How much are tickets to the front row? LOL  Not sure why it takes so long to address something that they should have records of, but this will definitely be interesting.

HUAWA does not fall under the clause of the Sunshine Laws, thus any accounting records they have are under no requirement to be made to the public, however I feel and strongly believe that Coach John Robinson is taking a step forward to address any/all concerns and misconceptions concerning this issue.

HUAWA does fall under the santa clause of the Moonshine Laws, thus all records have been burned and hidden from the public.  Coach Robinson and his cronies have successfully walked backwards for the last several years.

It will be a HUAWA MID MONTH BS BUFFETT:  ALL YOU CAN EAT!!!

How do we go about getting involved in these meetings?  Are they open to the public?  Can someone post the date, time and place for this next meeting?

Thank You

You need to be a USA wrestling coach. You can apply for your coaches card by visiting the mat.com There is background criminal check to complete and a nominal charge of $17 to do this. When approved you may apply for your coaches card.

This is how we keep the riff-raf like yourself from disrupting wrestling business.
