Punahou starting to hit their stride. The Boys, Girls, and JV all had convincing wins in the ILH Dual Championships. Not sure of the final score but something like 41-26, Improving performances from the young light weights, wins tight match over Yonamine, Egami lost a godd match to Kuahine, Kam forfeitted several matches including to Remillard and Hernandez, Ikehara and Pestano for Kam looked dominant and at Heavy weight Sparks lost a tight match to Wills. Girls faced Pac-5 in the Championship and had several open weights, pinned thru most of the matches.

Much as it (really) pains me to say it, Pun Dad is right. The Punahou kids wrestled really well this weekend; which is especially impressive because it was Punahou Carnival weekend when they traditionally seem to lose focus. (mMmm, malasadas)
All the GUESTS bashing on kids like Murakawa & Hernandez for their early season "struggles" might want to take another look at them. They might not have the dominant top-to-bottom squad they've had in recent years, but they're going to be a very good tournament team come States.

OK, here we go again. The Punahou fan boys making excuses for the poor performance they had because they were distracted by a carnival. Who said put on a carnival? That's your problem.

So they beat a depleted Kamehameha squad, big deal. Fukushima beat a second string wrestler. Murakawa just pantied out by avoiding Ricardson. Peralta had to beat up Jonah Hoshino because he couldn't defeat his older brother Jacob. And to top it off he couldn't even pin him. What a waste of a singlet.  Hernandez had a bye, wow what a victory. Come over to the OIA and we'll show you how it's done. Oh, thats right, you gotta go to the carnival :)

Reading comprehension isn't one of your strengths, is it? Here, I'll make it easier for you;

Puns went wrestle good even tho get carnival this weekend, brah. Da kine, Peralta & Murakawa stay look like they wrestling bettah than preseason an Hernandez no stay wrestling bruddahs 30 lbs heavier den heem. But I no like dem, so going suck when States stay come.

No, i'm definitely NOT a Punahou supporter. I was cheering for Iolani and KSK to upset them this weekend, but it didn't happen. Not even close. And, if you didn't understandamalate my previous post, Punahou traditionally wrestles poorly on Carnival weekend, but they didn't.

And, sadly, Punahou carnival doesn't last for a month, cuz. Guess you'll have to catch your jollies collecting tickets at DNB or Fun Factory.
